Into the Ether

'Into the Ether' is a collapsible popup artwork that explores the human struggle of loss and death. It epitomises the duality between life and death through a dreamlike allegory that unfolds before the audience.

Above the surface is a ghostly tree stump. It seems frozen in time but within the hollow of the tree lies a portal into the ether.

Beneath the surface, the warmth of life nurtures the tree as its roots thrive and grow.

Looking closer, a tunnel emerges from the heart of the tree with a figure falling through the cavern. Life and death push and pull the intensity of human existence, performing a delicate balancing act and co-dependency.
